The comet Neowise or C/2020 F3 is seen after the sunset in the starry sky over the pre alps landscape close to an old windmill in Saint Michel L Observatoire, southern France, on July 15, 2020. The green laser is launched by the Haute-Provence Observatory to point celestial objects as part of studies and researches. The comet was discovered by NASA’s Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, or NEOWISE, on March 27, 2020. Since then, the comet — called comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE and nicknamed comet NEOWISE — has been spotted by several NASA spacecraft, including Parker Solar Probe, NASA’s Solar and Terrestrial Relations Observatory, the ESA/NASA Solar and Heliospheric Observatory, and astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
